It’s a server that is shared by many users some providers limit the server use if you use it too much. It can be a linux or windows server.

Dedicated or VPS hosting

This typeof hostingis where you get a server or space of the server to yourself and you rare not limited in bandwidth due to the use of other users. This normally means you get better speed and functionality from your server. This is a pricier option from shared hosting.

Optimised hosting

This hosting is where the hosting server has special functionality added by the provider so that your blog or website can operate smoothly and better than a normal shared hosting package. Speed and server has better performance than a shared hosting account

Cloud hosting

Cloud hosting can be on a virtual server and so is scalable and flexible and the service e providers have custom scripts doing most of the work. Amazon cloud has been a big player inthis for years and it snow becoming popular for wordpress as well.
